| In response to neighborhood and community action groups, effective August 1st, 1999, HUD launched the Homebuyer Protection Plan. This package of far-reaching reforms which will benefit consumers by dramatically reinventing FHA's home appraisal process. For more information, visit HUD's related press release, and the recently issued HUD Mortgage Letter 99-18 which includes the new Valuation Condition (VC) form. |
